The story of Swiss Natural Luxury began in 1929

In 1929, a Swiss gentleman called Gotthilf METTLER, returned from a journey in the UK with a glycerin soap recipe handed by a British doctor. Despite the fact that glycerin was practically unknown in Europe at the time, Mr. METTLER saw its high potential. He built his own soap factory in Switzerland and produced high-quality handmade soaps since then. Almost 100 years later, the soap factory is still operating and our glycerin soap is sold in pharmacies all over Switzerland and worldwide. The perfume of our glycerin soap has marked generations in Switzerland and reminds people of home.

NATURAL LUXURY COSMETIC

Mr. Peter Yip, the Co-founder of the worldwide known luxury cosmetic brand La Praire and the owner of the luxury cosmetics Bellefontaine and La Vallée was inspired and enchanted by the quality of the glycerin soaps. He decided to buy the factory.

Following the innovative path of Gotthilf METTLER and with focus on the natural handmade & luxury quality of the soaps, he transformed METTLER into a premium Cosmetic Brand: METTLER 1929- NATURAL LUXURY COSMTIC for women and their families worldwide.

Today, METTLER1929 is sold worldwide from Europe (Benelux, France, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland) to the US and Asia (Iran, China) through our distribution partners supplying pharmacies and perfumeries.
